CLOUXI — MAISON RULIÑA: WHERE FASHION BECOMES MEMORY

CLOUXI — MAISON RULIÑA: WHERE FASHION BECOMES MEMORY 1708 2560 Event Savó

With “Maison Ruliña,” young Galician designer Uxía Lourerio transforms childhood memories, family heritage, and the traditions of Galicia into a deeply personal expression of contemporary fashion.

For Uxía Lourerio, fashion began remarkably early. At just five years old, she was already creating clothes, drawn to the expressive possibilities of color, shape, and imagination.

Today, through her label Clouxi, that early passion has evolved into a distinctive creative language—one rooted in emotion, memory, and identity.

Deeply connected to her Galician origins, Lourerio draws inspiration from family stories, cultural traditions, and the visual memories of her childhood. Rather than simply reproducing the past, she reinterprets it, transforming familiar objects and references into contemporary garments with a strong sense of individuality.

MAISON RULIÑA: A HOUSE FULL OF MEMORIES

The latest collection, “Maison Ruliña,” is an intimate tribute to the designer’s childhood home, her grandmothers, and the memories that shaped her.

Old family photographs, recovered fabrics, traditional aprons, embroidery, and heritage details become unexpected sources of inspiration. Elements associated with domestic life and family history are reimagined through a contemporary design perspective.

Each garment feels like a fragment of a larger story.

A photograph becomes a memory. A piece of fabric carries the traces of another time. An embroidery becomes a connection between generations.

Through these details, “Maison Ruliña” creates a visual dialogue between past and present, demonstrating how personal history can become a powerful source of contemporary creativity.

SLOW FASHION, MADE BY HAND

Clouxi’s emotional approach is matched by a deeply artisanal production process.

The brand follows a slow-fashion philosophy, with each garment designed and made personally by Uxía Lourerio, from the initial concept through to construction.

The designer places particular emphasis on the reuse of fabrics and the reduction of waste, giving existing materials a new purpose and a new life.

This approach makes each piece feel inherently personal. Rather than separating design from craftsmanship, Clouxi brings the two together in a process that values time, individuality, and attention to detail.

A STORY OF HOME AND BELONGING

At its heart, “Maison Ruliña” is a collection about belonging.

It speaks of home, family, origins, and the emotional connection we maintain with the places and people that shape us. Galicia is not simply a geographical reference within the collection—it becomes part of its identity and visual language.

Through her work, Uxía Lourerio demonstrates that fashion can preserve memories while giving them a new form.

With “Maison Ruliña,” Clouxi turns heritage into contemporary design, transforming fragments of family history into garments that carry their own stories.

Every stitch becomes a memory. Every fabric holds a trace of the past.

And every piece becomes, in its own way, a little piece of home.
